How Strong Are Your Bones?

The Story Behind Our Fortress
When we first set out to design this building, we didn’t just want a place to train. We wanted to create a fortress.
Every decision —from the reinforced concrete walls to the open training floor, from the high ceilings to the layout of the mats and racks — was intentional. It wasn’t just about aesthetics or space. It was about building something that embodied the strength we strive to build in ourselves and our members every day.
And over the past 6 years, that vision has proven itself — literally.
Our building has endured storms, relentless Wisconsin winters, and even a car that once crashed into it during a high-speed police chase. The walls didn’t flinch. The foundation held strong.
It made us think: how strong are your bones?
The Bones of a Building, The Bones of a Body
Strong bones are the foundation of a strong body. They carry load, absorb impact, and make movement possible. Without strong bones, strength can’t exist.
Our building is no different. Beneath the paint, the mats, and the noise of training sessions is a skeleton of steel and concrete — the bones that make everything else possible. That’s what gives it resilience. That’s what makes it stand when it’s tested.
We built our gym the same way we work to build our members: from the inside out.

Foundations First
In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the fundamentals are the foundation that advanced technique is built on. The fundamentals of BJJ teach us effective base, posture and pressure, the true foundation of control. Without this strong foundation, everything you try to build on top of it just crumbles.
In boxing or kickboxing, a knockout punch doesn’t start at the glove — it starts in your stance, your hips, and your balance. In strength training, no lifter ever built real power without first mastering form and control.
You’re only as strong as your foundation.
That’s why we train the way we do — intentionally, systematically, and with respect for the fundamentals. Every class, every lift, every drill reinforces the “bones” of your skill and your body so that when life hits — and it will — you don’t crumble. You adapt. You stand. You endure.

The Fortress Stands — and So Do We
This building has become more than walls and mats. It’s a metaphor for what we believe in. Every drop of sweat, every rep, every round echoes the same idea: build strength that lasts.
As we celebrate the anniversary of our new home, we’re reminded that our success — like our structure — wasn’t luck. It was design. It was preparation. It was the willingness to do things the right way, from the ground up.
We built a fortress — not just to train in, but to represent what we stand for.
And now, we get to fill it every day with people doing the same thing — building strong bodies, strong skills, and strong foundations for whatever comes next.
So ask yourself: how strong are your bones?
Closing Note
To everyone who’s been part of these 6 years in our new home — thank you.
You’ve proven that the strength of a building isn’t measured in concrete, but in the people who fill it with purpose.
Here’s to another year of standing strong together.
Strength. Skill. Survival.
Train to be Unstoppable.
